ABOUT US
We realise that choosing a pre-school for your child is a very important decision, that’s why we always recommend that you and your child visit us before you register so you can both have a good look around, meet the team, and see if you like what we offer! We are an independent sessional pre-school, registered with both Ofsted and the Surrey Early Years Child Care Service. We first opened in January 2012 and have been happily serving the local community ever since!
We care for children between the ages of 2 and 5 and accept all forms of Government funding (FEET, 15 hrs and 30 hrs). Funding can be used in any combination and can also be used to cover all of our charges, including breakfast and lunch clubs. This means that unlike many other nurseries and pre-schools, there are no hidden extras with us and we do not charge any top-up fees.
We take a great deal of pride in our experienced and well qualified team of practitioners; our team is always on hand to support both children and parents throughout their time with us.
For further information about the Pre-School please contact Dawn, the Pre-School Manager, on 07941 427101 or email her at dawn@stoughtonpreschool.co.uk. If you would like to register your child for Stoughton Pre-School please visit the ‘How to Register‘ page.

EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE
The activities at Stoughton Pre-School are planned to give attention to the seven areas of learning outlined in ‘The Early Years Foundation Stage’ (EYFS). The EYFS is a mandatory framework for all Ofsted registered childcare providers. It was developed to ensure that all childcare services provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children.
We support children’s learning through carefully planned activities that are fun and appropriate to their needs. All activities will link to the seven areas of learning in some way so we can ensure that every child’s learning experience is varied, relevant and enjoyable! The seven areas of learning are:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
